2. CAT. 5 and 5e shielded (foil) twisted pair (STP / FTP).
3. Shielded category 5 cable is more accepted and used in Europe. A CAT. 5 and 5e STP still rated at 100Mhz and FDDI data rate of 100 Mbps. STP has all 4 pairs shielded with aluminum / mylar foil. CAT. 5 is available in these configurations like UTP and SSTP.

(3) Shielding: aluminum / mylar foil plus drain wire and 85% tinned copper braid shielded coverage.

a. Polyvinylchloride (PVC).
b. Halogen-free compound.
(5) Jacket properites:
a. Non-migration (to ABS / HIPS / SB or SAN).
b. Low lead and low heavy metal.
c. Flame retardant.
(6) Standard: meet EIA / TIA-568A and 568B transmission requirement.
2. Connector specification:
(1) Also known as RJ45 / FCC plug / US modular plug. It comes with shielded RJ45 for SSTP cable.
(2) Material: polycarbonate.
(3) Flame grade: V 0 or V 2 plug to UL standard.
(4) Dimension: compliance to FCC part 68 sub-part F.
(5) Position / contact: 8 positions and 8 contacts (8P8C) shielded.
(6) Contact plate / blade: base material of copper alloy with electro-plating of 100 micro-inches nickel under plating in 6 / 15 / 30 or 50 micro-inches of gold plating contact.
